Indian Vegetarian Recipes 
Ingredients used :
- 1/4 cup yellow moong dal, soaked in hot water for 5 minutes
- 2 cups chopped fenugreek leaves (methi)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, grated
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi)
- 1 teaspoon Bengal gram flour (besan)
- 2 teaspoons oil
- salt to taste
Preparetions:
1. Heat the oil and add the cumin seeds.
When they crackle, add the onion, garlic, green chillies and saute for
1 minute.
2. Add the turmeric powder, fenugreek and salt and stir.
3. Add the soaked moong dal and 1/2 cup of hot water.
4. Sprinkle the besan, mix well and bring to a boil.
Simmer for some time.
5. Serve hot with rice or rotis.
Serves: 2
Cooking Time : 9 minutes.
Preparation Time : 6 minutes.
