Indian Vegetarian Recipes 
Mooli Ki Subzi :
Ingredients used :
- 2 medium white radish (mooli), peeled and chopped with the leaves
a pinch soda bi-carb
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
- 1/2 teaspoon ajwain (carom seeds)
- 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida (hing)
- 2 teaspoons ginger-green chilli paste
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi)
- 2 teaspoons coriander (dhania) powder
- 1 teaspoon chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon kachri powder
- 2 tablespoons oil
- salt to taste
Preparetions:
1. Boil the radish (with the leaves)
with soda bi-carb in water till it is cooked (approx. 5 to 7 minutes).
Drain and keep aside.
2. Heat the oil in a pan, add the cumin seeds, ajwain,
asafoetida and ginger-green chilli paste and sauté for a few seconds.
3. Add the cooked radish, turmeric powder, coriander
powder, chilli powder, kachri powder and salt. Mix well and sauté
for 4 to 5 minutes.
4. Serve hot.
Serves 3
Preparation Time : 10 mins.
Cooking Time : 15 mins.
